Two Graduate Students Join the BRANE Lab

Amid the pandemic, the UNC Chapel Hill Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program charted through new waters to hold their first Virtual Interview Day for new doctoral candidates in Clinical Psychology. An extraordinary year enabled the BRANE Lab to welcome two new extraordinary graduate students: Kat Benson and Paulina Linares-Abrego!

Kat received a B.S. in Biology and Psychology from Butler University and comes to UNC from the Indiana University School of Medicine where she conducted imaging research on the neural mechanisms of alcohol use disorder in young adults. Paulina received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Houston and focused on health disparities and tobacco cessation research. The BRANE Lab is tremendously excited to welcome them both!
